Characters I like 😌💕
Mohg: Is like the representative of Elden Ring, because man, im HYPERFIXATED right now. Also his design and story are so interesting. I dont draw him often because he is so damn hard to draw.
Cyrus: idk i just like him so much, his pokespe version was like so extra and intense, i just couldnt help it. Every iteration (manga, games) give him interesting resolutions and that makes him so fun to draw to me, like one time he can hang out with the kids, another time he is reseting the world and becoming a god. He is ma boy.
Ganondorf: he is my zelda fave ever since his introduction in OoT, when i was like 11. He was so fucking mean to baby link 😭, i just loved it. Also his design changes with every game he is in, and he is usually very cool (except tp, i dont like tp gan that much, cos he is too hard to draw XD) and his battles are so iconic!
Thrawn: he is blue and blue is my favorite color. But also, I found him to be such a refreshing character in star wars, with the way he solves mysteries and battle strategies. Its so funny to see such a serious and ruthless character be a pain in the ass for everyone near him, but when he has to deal with that himself, is even more entertaining. This is about book thrawn, filoni's thrawn wishes he was that smart and well written 😭
Micolash: tbh i dont know why i like him so much haha. But his only fuckin scene is so fascinating to me. It think its all the implications and the things the game doesnt tell you what i find so interesting. And i love tha cage and how he howls mid fight 🤷‍♀️
Saito Hajime: his introduction in the story sets everything for a really awesome arc. He is very antagonistic all the time, and he is brutal with his enemies, but he is also really worried for the good of the people. He is very interesting in the way he is so full of contradictions; he would cheat mid battle to get what he wants, but he would also fight in equal terms if needed. I could go on and on, you have no idea the influence rurouni kenshin has on me haha, it rised me up as a kid XD, but i need to mimir 😴

The way Zelda redditors behave like BotW is going to be the template for future titles is absolutely hilarious. They are convinced that Nintendo is done with classic Zelda elements forever. TotK proves it! Never mind that they can barely agree on whether this even deserves to be called a new game or overpriced DLC. Or that Nintendo themselves have said that this was a very big experiment, where they let a team comprised of mostly younger devs run the show, and the director of BotW has actually left the company to go work on Infinity Nikki of all things. I don't know what the future of Zelda is going to look like. I can't see Nintendo just walking back everything they did in BotW. (And they better not. Skyward Sword is the worst mainline Zelda title, and BotW was the exact opposite of the hand holding the series had gotten really bad for). However, we can guarantee one thing for sure. The open-air game concept that specifically defined Breath of the Wild and its direct sequel Tears of the Kingdom is not simply going to be the new template for the series.
I could leave it there with a "because Nintendo said so" but it's midnight and I'm already making bad decisions, so I'm going to go one further and back this up with a second supporting argument. That's not how Nintendo as a company works. That's not how they've ever worked. They stopped doing rational, clear iterative upgrades when they followed up the Gamecube with the Wii. The Zelda series itself has constantly been one of self reinvention. Ocarina of Time is incredibly special in that Breath of the Wild is the first time they've so clearly broken away from the model it set. But when you look at the rest of the series, it's obvious BotW was the biggest experiment, but not even remotely the first. Majora's Mask turned the main gameplay concept on its head by putting everything on a Very. Tight. Timer. When you hit midnight of the third day, that was it. Rewind or die. All your progress was reset except for your sword (iirc), your masks, and your rupees if you put them in the bank (because the banker was a time traveler?). Wind Waker flooded the whole continent and had you sailing around on a boat, using a proto-physics system to fill your sails. The wide open world of OoT was gone altogether, and Princess Zelda didn't show up until halfway through the game (we won't talk about what they did to Tetra). Twilight Princess made the game super linear and made Zelda herself almost secondary to the plot. Actually, TP almost feels like the most direct callback to OoT with the doubling down on horse mounted combat, an art style that looked more like it next to whatever WW was doing (but which would ultimately age a lot worse), dungeons that also felt more directly inspired, and a combat system that was a little less fluid and reactive. But it also had Link temporarily become a werewolf, and gave us an egregiously underappreciated Spaghetti Western shootout that came out of nowhere and was all together too brief. Then Skyward Sword came along, which was the least reinventive of the bunch mechanically, but which did at least try to turn the classic narrative on its head. Also Zelda went from being barely there to being a driving character in the narrative. And she walked so BotW Princess Zelda could run. That said, imho, you can see why they leaned so much harder into experimentation with their next game that nearly skipped a whole console generation, because by SS the series tropes were getting a little too strong. The series was actually drifting into iterative territory, and that's not the typical Nintendo way. Especially not with one of their two core in-house franchises.
(Please don't bring up Pokemon here. I know it's Nintendo's third core franchise. But please remember, Zelda and Mario are solely owned by Nintendo, while Pokemon is at this point is at the center of an entire corporate conglomerate, which Nintendo is only part of).
I get that some people didn't enjoy BotW. I can sympathize with the people who did not want more like it and who were consequently less than thrilled by TotK's arrival. But bemoaning the fall of the franchise and saying Nintendo is going to be like Ubisoft, EA, and all the other trend chasing studios out there is really going too far. Nintendo has spent too many years baffling investors to start doing that now. Yes, Tears of the Kingdom exists. No, it's not proof of the trend. It was a planned sequel (itself an enormously rare concept in Zelda history). You can't make a planned story and gameplay sequel to a game and just throw away the concept you're following up on. That would be an enormously bad idea. (Worse, even, than trying to make your sequel game stand on its own for new players and erasing nearly all memory of Link from the same people he helped save. I love TotK so much, but I am not blind to its flaws, what few there are).
ALSO yes Echoes of Wisdom has Zelda stacking beds into a diy staircase. NO that doesn't mean we're seeing a return of this apparently beloathed systems-based physics gameplay in 2D fashion. If there were physics, the beds would have fallen over. That's like calling Minecraft or Dragon Quest Builders a physics based exploration game just because they have objects you can stack. That is the dumbest take I've seen come out of a community that is profoundly skilled at coming out with dumb takes.

Picross... my beloved who I replay over and over to beat my previous times. I played this before I even played twilight princess so it was so confusing having no idea what half of the images were fdhfkdsj. But it's a lot of fun (although you can't get it on the 3DS anymore).
Stickers are from the official legend of zelda sticker book and the picross images are printed from google.
Writing typed below!
Rating: 8.5 * see below Played: Fa 2022 Port: 3DS, My Nintendo Reward
Comments:
really good scaled difficulty
All TP themes
resetting is the WORST
*this won't be rated against other zelda/video games but rather as a logic puzzle game
a logic puzzle game that builds a pixel picture
love the drawings!!
horrible eyestrain
super addicting, i will be really sad when I complete everything
it's funny trying to figure out the drawing bc I haven't played twilight princess yet, oops!
definitely shouldn't do extremely tired, keep messing up
micross wasn't 80x80 but one 8x8 and the outcome of that determined how many 10x10s (57)
I wish mega picross wasn't exactly the same pictures as picross
omg little ribbons for completion
the link drawings were all so cute
a lot of repetition but was fun
is there sumo in TP???
took almost exactly 24 hours total (I have since replayed the levels and my puzzles are at like 9-10 hours total lol)
I wish there were more zeldas
46 unique, 91 puzzles total
Summary I've always been a big fan of logic puzzles so I knew I had to get this game when browsing the Nintendo rewards. I absolutely had a blast playing and it was obsessive. Some puzzles were a lot harder than others but that just added to the game since one difficulty wouldn't make it as fun. This definitely ranks as one of my favorite logic puzzle games. If there were more diversity between picross and mega picross I would've ranked this higher. Or if micross was 80x80 and not a race of how fast you can complete 57 10x10s. I absolutely recommend to anyone who loves zelda and games like Sudoku. I especially recommend to twilight princess fans bc I have no idea what I completed. A great game and hope there's more fun rewards like this when tears of the kingdom releases.

Ok, so BiT is a glitch in Wind Waker (WW), Twilight Princess (TP), and Skyward Sword (SS). I will be using these acronyms to refer to the games.
How it works is that during a void-out (in TP, falling off an edge or dying), you open the Wii menu and hit reset. This causes the game to give you control of Link on the title screen. You can save during this state, and if you open a file saved in this state, you can revert your progress (hence the name), but it’s also useful in speedruns because you access a cliff very early in the game, meaning you can go forward in time instead. This saves a few minutes in TP.
In WW? It’s basically useless. You can’t do anything with it. It is, however, triggered by death and then resetting. Keep this method in mind.
When SS came out, BiT seemed impossible. It just didn’t work. However… no one tried the WW method until someone did it on accident. Oops.
In SS, it’s a REALLY big glitch. You can corrupt files (useful for death), manipulate where you spawn, and even set scene flags to skip things. This saves HOURS.
I’m too tired to explain everything it does in SS though.
Wosahh
I should probably play these because I don’t know anything about gameplay n stuff . Sighhh

How to Fix Common Issues During WiFi Extender Setup
Tumblr media
Problems with the TP-Link wifi extender setup? Here's how to fix typical installation issues and have your extender operating at its best.
Make sure you're connected to the extender's WiFi first if the setup page at tplinkrepeater.net won't load. Another option is to use the IP address listed on the label. Changing browsers or clearing your browser's cache can be helpful.
When users enter the incorrect WiFi password when setting up a TP-Link extender, another problem occurs. Before continuing, always make sure your credentials are correct. During the setup procedure, try moving the extender closer to the router if it is unable to locate your primary network.
Restart the router and the extension if they both display a connection, but there is no internet access. To verify that the connection was successful, repeat the TP-Link Range Extender Setup Process.
Is the extender causing slow internet? This could be the result of bad positioning. The extender should not be placed behind heavy furniture or in corners. Locate an area with a strong signal by using the LED indicators on the device.
Holding down the reset button for ten seconds will reset everything if you ever need to. Then follow the following instructions to begin again.
By following these guidelines, you can experience greater wireless coverage without any disruptions and a more seamless TP-Link wifi extender setup.

Previously on 68616472696616e7573:
I built a network lab from a shitty old Cisco SG350 switch, Lenovo m72 mini-PC and tp-link router. Lenovo works as a bare-bone Linux server. I selected this gear pretty much only because I had them laying around.
It worked fine for a week or two, until I realised I had given the same IP to both the router and the switch. I don’t even know how I managed to do that, probably because I didn’t configure all of them together and make a clear network map before configuring. I’m surprised it worked at all.
Aaaaand I did the noob mistake (which I knew not to do but did it anyway) and tried changing the Cisco IP in the GUI. It’s impossible, I don’t think anyone has successfully configured a Cisco Network Switch via GUI, at least not these cheaper models.
In the end I just ended up digging up the console cable, resetting the switch and doing it all over via serial commands. Which is a lot faster than any other method, it didn’t take that long. Dilly dallying with GUI and then trying to remove commands via terminal took several hours and led to nowhere.
Anyway, I learned a lot, which is why you do these things:
1. I still have an few years old CCNA book, that is really good
2. ‘line tty’ does not exist on SG models for some reason, I don’t know how to make SSH work
3. ‘vlan databases x,y’ is how you create a vlans, but I guess this is deprecated method and you can do it via configuration mode in Catalyst and newer switches?
4. Commands: ‘ctrl+h, write mem, sh run, sh start, conf t’
5. In SG350 the command to reset the configuration is ‘delete startup-configuration’, man it took a while to find that! Even ChatGPT didn’t know.
I also made the TP-link as secure as possible creating 16-character wifi pass, hiding the SSID, turning on DDoS attack prevention and preventing WAN ping. I have updated the firmware already. However these are still massively unsecure devices:
With all this I managed to prevent my server accessing my WiFi and it doesn’t seem to understand to switch to Ethernet, so I have no remote access. I have to plug it into a monitor and keyboard and update the network authentication. Maybe I can connect an USB-cable from it to the switch’s USB serial port and try to get the SSH to the Cisco console working?
Maybe I should eat some breakfast…
Sir, this is a Wendy’s, please place order or leave.

I wasn’t tagged but that does not seem to be a requirement for this and I WANNA so-
My first Zelda game was OoT, I first played it at 2 years old in 1999. But being 2 and a wimp, I was too scared to go into the Great Deku Tree so I just kept resetting and doing everything in Kokiri Forest over and over again, and watched my DAD play through the actual games. That was how I experienced most mainline Zeldas for the first time, curled up on the couch a little past my bedtime watching my dad blaze through OoT, WW, even MM and TP. I’d pick up the controller occasionally to explore the overworlds, but always left the dungeons to him.
But then I got my DS, and Phantom Hourglass a few months later. I was about 11, 12? And it was a Pain in the BUTT to watch my dad do the dungeons over his shoulder on my tiny DS screen, so I got brave, and did them myself. (Though I kept him updated on certain tricky bosses or puzzles, we literally spent an hour on that one map puzzle and figured it out by accident.)
From there, the floodgates had opened. I got the OoT manga along with Spirit Tracks as a Christmas present, and from there I went back and replayed all the games I could get my hands on. Never beat WW or TP because I had a weird stipulation that I had to beat them All By Myself as some point of pride and both games had someone pick up the controller and therefore taint my file when I’d almost made it to the end (in WW I was literally at Puppet Ganon, I was d e v e s t a t e d), but let’s see…
LoZ (played), AoL (played), ALttP (beaten, maybe 100%), LA (remake, beaten, 100% besides Dampe stuff), OoT (remake, beaten), MM (played), OoS (played), OoA (waiting until beaten OoS to play), WW (played, almost beaten, I refuse to play the remake because they changed Windfall Island and ruined my early-game routine there), MC (beaten), FS (anniversary edition, beaten), FSA (beaten), TP (played, got to City in the Sky, want to replay soon), PH (beaten, 100%), ST (beaten), SS (beaten, og and remake, with the special controllers for both), ALBW (beaten, 100%), TFH (played), BotW (beaten), TotK (beaten), EoW (beaten, 100%).
I was also involved in a Zelda podcast in the early 2010s, where I found my first real internet community (miss you, Zelda Dungeon/Z-Talk). And then of course in about 2020-2021 I found Linked Universe via Pinterest and became utterly obsessed with that as well. Hence the Legend pfp. I love the Legend of Zelda so much, y’all.
A question!! Maybe a chain?
When did you get into LoZ, and how?
For me, I played BotW years ago and really enjoyed it but couldn’t get really into any of the other games. About a year and a half ago (I think?) I happened upon Linked Universe. I didn’t know who half the cast was but I was SMITTEN. After that I started ALBW and it was all over for me.
